July 2017 this fire cracker walked into Fly High and it was an instant connection. We knew right away she would be a perfect fit at our studio. Her name is Hadiya which means "Gift" and we are happy to have her on board to share her gift of belly dancing at Fly High. She started seven years ago on a dare and never stopped. She trained with numerous instructors in both traditional and tribal styles of belly dancing. Hadiya is also an ACE (American Council on Exercise) certified Group Fitness Instructor and is trained in the use of different props such as veils, fans, canes, and swords.
I have always been very athletic until I was diagnosed with Lupus ten years ago. Three years after I was diagnosed, I was unable to exercise like before. I decided to research different activities that would fit my new lifestyle; a lifestyle that requires balancing both the physical and mental aspects of my well-being.
With my education, training, and experience within the last six years, I have found an alternative way to stay fit and healthy; this is what motivated me to open Fly High Dance and Fitness. My goal is to introduce this concept and inspire others to do the same.
